In the winter of 2006 (February 9-10), in the middle of a construction boom, Metropolis held a conference focused on greening Miami, Florida and the region. We called together speakers and panelists from far and wide, as well as concerned and knowledgeable locals, to ask questions--and find some useful answers--about sustainable growth and place-making, visionary and workable schemes for cities and their infrastructures, as well as green interiors and skyscrapers designed for tropical and subtropical climates and cultures. The podcasts and transcripts (in our Continuing Education section) continue to be relevant today and for some time to come. |
