CCN extends its Poche line this year with an executive boardroom ensemble that builds on designer Don Killaby’s keen interest in minimalist sculpture and early modernism. Primary horizontal and vertical planes are constructed of a 3-inch-thick core element, with all other features following a strict 5-inch planning module. Alternating wood grain patterns create visual variety in the larger pieces.
The design’s minimalist aesthetic is aided by the lack of visible locks—made possible by the Dialock System’s keyless access. Developed jointly by CCN with Hafele, a wand roughly the size of a key is merely passed over the cabinet to lock and unlock it.
