Tropical Green is a two-day conference exploring ways to build sustainable houses, structures, and communities in Miami, South Florida, and similar climates.
Where is the conference being held?
At the Wolfson campus of Miami Dade College:

Why Tropical Green?
If green design and planning practices are not put into place quickly, Miami and cities with similar climates stand to lose their quality of life. Sustainable building is the next wave of innovation, investment opportunity, and chance for creativity. How individuals and companies decide to ride this wave will determine the area’s future prosperity. Tropical Green will explore how to design and build green—and profit doing it.

How do I register?
You can register online with a cerdit card by following this link or calling (800) 715-2443. Checks may be made payable to METROPOLIS magazine. Please mail your check and registration form to METROPOLIS Products, P.O. Box 576, Mt. Morris, IL 61054. Please complete one form for each individual.
Who should attend?
Architects, interior designers, developers, city planners, educators, and voters in search of learning the ways of 21st century design, urbanism, and architecture.
Can I cancel my registration?
A $50 fee will be imposed for substitutions prior to January 15th; no substitutions will be allowed thereafter. Substitution requests must be made by writing to Eve Dilworth at [email protected] or mailed to Tropical Green Design, Metropolis Magazine, 61 West 23rd Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10010. Your substitution will only be valid after you have received written confirmation from the conference organizers. There are no cancellations.
Is there a student discount?
Students can register for $50. This registration does not include any meals or beverages. Discounted registrants may be seated in an overflow room, where they will be able to view the conference via webcast. To register at this discounted rate students must provide a valid student ID on the day of the conference. If you are registered as a student but do not bring your student ID with you to the first day of the conference you will be charged the difference ($345).
