Three talented young designers selected for the ICFF Studio—-a joint venture between ICFF and Bernhardt Studio—-as well as one designer exhibiting with the Industrial Designers Society of America are indisputably a lucky bunch. Handpicked by Metropolis editor in chief Susan Szenasy, they had the added good fortune to present their designs and be critiqued by industrial designer Yves Behar, rug-maker and marketing maven Stephanie Odegard, and Herman Miller’s concept project manager Mark Gierz. The tone was constructive and the panel of experts offered invaluable advice and supportive suggestions.

The audience was treated to a showcase of four designs: Emiliano Godoy’s Piasa room divider, Sandor Pratt’s Stria Chair, Tim Wall’s Fold barstool, and Terhi Tuominen’s Blackbird chair.
