“Touch” is a game that Amsterdam-based landscape and interior designer Petra Blaisse plays with walls. The eight patterns, 54-inches wide, are made from photographs of felt, rope, stitching, knits, and fur—all enlarged to an unexpectedly grand scale. The surface appears to take on depth and confuses the eye. The effect is one that draws viewers to want to—you guessed it—touch the walls.
