Teknion
Blink
Designed in partnership with Formway, Teknion’s Blink is a multi-use chair featuring innovative ergonomics and sustainability-driven design. Blink is designed to deliver intuitive comfort supporting the needs of today’s workplaces with minimal user adjustment.
Blink’s hidden intelligence is centered on movement. The shell is precision-molded with over a thousand perforations, creating a breathable, flexible surface. It draws inspiration from impact-absorbing auxetic patterns, honeycomb, and lattice-like structures known for their ability to flex and contour curved forms. The chair features a patented Keel Mechanism, which provides dynamic movement to respond to the user’s body shifts, automatically calibrated based on bodyweight.
Blink demonstrates a commitment to sustainability with over 73% recycled content, reducing carbon content by 30% through the use of regenerated nylon and recycled polypropylene. Guided by a reduction-first philosophy, the design limits waste and material consumption from the outset, reducing overall environmental impact rather than relying solely on end-of-life recyclability. Blink also provides material transparency through EPD and Declare documentation, along with environmental certifications including BIFMA Level 3 and SCS Indoor Air Quality Gold, ensuring clear and accurate sustainability reporting.
For organizations specifying furniture at scale, Blink offers an attractive solution that balances ergonomic support, sustainability, and design quality.
