Thermaframe 4

Thermaframe 4 is the industry’s leading low-carbon, double-glazed curtain wall system. Designed to help projects minimize embodied carbon while maximizing thermal performance, Thermaframe 4 leverages ultra-high-performance fiberglass framing to achieve R4 (0.25 BTU/ft2F) overall frame and glass, allowing project teams to avoid the added carbon impact, cost, and complexity of triple-glazed aluminum curtain walls, while greatly improving durability and condensation resistance in high-humidity and controlled-humidity environments.

Compared to triple-glazed aluminum curtain walls, Thermaframe 4 reduces embodied carbon by up to 50% while also improving operational carbon impacts. As a lighter-weight system, Thermaframe 4 reduces maintenance frequency, reduces expansion and contraction of system seals and gaskets, and helps ensure the highest levels of airtightness and thermal performance season after season. The inherent low thermal conductivity of fiberglass is key to the success of the overall system, helping limit thermal bridging, improving interior comfort, and supporting energy-efficient building envelope performance.

Thermaframe 4 is optimized for civic, institutional, and owner-occupied commercial buildings in cool-temperate climates, including schools, hospitals, universities, and other projects targeting Net-Zero, Zero Carbon, or LEED certification. Manufactured with a vertically integrated North American supply chain, this fiberglass-framed curtain wall also ensures tariff-free procurement for projects across Canada and the US.
