Tikagreen CSR Strategy

tikamoon

TikaGreen is tikamoon’s company-wide framework for responsible growth, built around a simple principle: the most sustainable piece of furniture is one that remains useful, valued, and in circulation for generations. Rather than focusing solely on reducing environmental impact, TikaGreen promotes a model centered on longevity, circularity, and transmission.

This philosophy begins with what tikamoon calls “slow furniture.” It starts with slow materials: responsibly sourced solid wood, a natural and renewable material that stores carbon throughout its lifespan while offering exceptional durability and the ability to age beautifully over time. It continues with slow production, relying on traditional craftsmanship and manufacturing methods that prioritize quality and longevity over speed. Finally, it embraces slow living, creating timeless furniture designed to outlast trends and remain relevant in homes for decades.

Today, tikamoon offers approximately 1,500 products and ships more than 25,000 pieces each month worldwide. Every product is designed to be repaired, restored, and maintained over time, reducing the need for replacement and encouraging long-term ownership. This commitment is reinforced through a two-year warranty and a long-term vision that views furniture not as a disposable product, but as an asset that can be passed from one generation to the next.

Circularity is at the heart of the TikaGreen initiative. In Europe, tikamoon has developed programs such as Circle and its Second-Hand offering, which encourage products to be repaired, resold, reused, and kept in circulation for as long as possible. Similar initiatives are currently being explored for the U.S. market. Together, they support tikamoon’s lifetime buy-back philosophy, built on a simple belief: furniture crafted to last should retain value. By extending ownership beyond a single customer, tikamoon aims to keep products in circulation across generations rather than allowing them to become waste after a single lifecycle.Alongside these circular initiatives, tikamoon continuously measures and manages its environmental impact through carbon footprint assessments and product life-cycle analyses, a practice established in 2019. The company prioritizes responsibly sourced materials, FSC-certified wood, and the reintegration of production scraps to reduce pressure on natural resources.

The impact of this approach has been independently recognized through tikamoon’s B Corp certification. In 2025, the company achieved a score of 90.9 points, surpassing both the certification threshold of 80 points and the industry average of 80.7 points. Three of its practices were also recognized as Impact Business Models in the areas of poverty reduction in the supply chain, land and wildlife conservation, and resource preservation.

Beyond its own operations, tikamoon extends its commitment through its membership in 1% for the Planet Europe, supporting environmental organizations and initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable future.

Founded in France in 2008 and established in the U.S. market in late 2024, tikamoon has built its growth around the belief that sustainability begins with creating fewer, better products that last. Through TikaGreen, the company is demonstrating how durability, craftsmanship, circularity, and responsible stewardship can form the foundation of a more regenerative furniture industry.
