Grafton Architects’ idea of FREESPACE is as typically vague as any biennale theme, meaning the jump from national pavilion to pavilion is an ever unpredictable traverse through stony faced project displays (Olá, Portugal), non descript inflatable objects (Hej, Nordics) and a swamp (Sveiki, Lithuania). Here are 10 highlights from the 65 national participants.
