Division Twelve

Kynd

Designed by Altherr Désile Park, Kynd represents a refined evolution of Division Twelve’s industrial design language, pairing softer forms with lasting performance. Created for both indoor and outdoor use, the collection includes café chairs, counter stools, and bar stools that adapt across hospitality, workplace, and public environments, extending product utility while reducing the need for multiple specialized seating solutions.

Sustainability shaped Kynd from the outset. Evaluated through Division Twelve’s Design for Environment program, the collection considers environmental impact across its full lifecycle, from material sourcing and manufacturing to transportation, use, and end of life. A durable bent metal frame and high-performance molded plastic seat create a straightforward, resilient design engineered for longevity, easy maintenance, and demanding commercial applications.

Kynd is certified carbon neutral, with environmental performance documented through Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs). It also meets BIFMA LEVEL® 3 and SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold standards. Like all Division Twelve products, Kynd is manufactured in zero-waste-to-landfill facilities that offset 100% of electricity use through renewable energy credits.

By combining enduring design, responsible manufacturing, and long-term versatility, Kynd delivers a lower-impact approach to commercial seating without compromising comfort or contemporary character.
