8 Collections Translating Culture into Design

Art goes beyond the easel in eight new product collections from emerging artists and architectural maestros that draw upon design touchpoints of past and present. From rugs to wall panels, reverence for craft and culture elevates standout products—both expressive and restrained—as they enrich interiors with new stories to tell.

FACES Collection 

Jaipur Rugs

Sixteen richly textured woven rugs by Kengo Kuma evoke the architect’s intricate facades and their synthesis of nature and human innovation. Handmade using wool and regenerated natural fiber viscose, FACES applies modern sensibilities to traditional techniques, yielding contemporary aesthetics intended to last. Subtle yet striking textures and transitions are accentuated through a medley of natural hues.

ALMA by Alfonso Verduzco 

WVH

Wood engages with heritage materials like lava stone, obsidian, and copper across three richly textured architectural surfaces by Mexican designer Alfonso Verduzco. Inspired by sacred architecture and ancestral techniques, the contemporary wall panels balance durability with expressive depth. Imperfections even become tactile focal points, conveying authenticity and a quiet sense of drama.

WOW Design

Reinterpreting legacy with contemporary precision, Micare touts chromatic depth redolent of 1960s and ’70s glazed ceramics. Wild Runway

Flooring becomes the protagonist in interior storytelling through this collaboration between Tarkett Hospitality and Kellie Sirna of Studio 11 Design. Wild Runway infuses edgy expression into spaces with ten sophisticated animal-inspired motifs distinguished by architectural geometry. Dubbed “couture for the floor,” the collection draws inspiration from both modern urban landscapes and 1990s European runway fashion.

From pattern to texture, retro aesthetics reemerge in the Cult Classics collection. HBF Textiles

Unified by poetic sensitivity to color and texture, four vibrant patterns by New York artist Liam Lee are ripe for experimentation. Rooted in paintings that blend abstraction and figuration, HBF’s series incorporates forms derived from paint-by-numbers kits.
