When customers order custom variations of the line’s subtle and distinctive patterns, the mock-ups will be produced on paper, using sophisticated visual simulations, rather than via the labor- and material-intensive sampling process; this change will significantly cut down on the skyscraper-sized piles of waste. Once approved, these customizations will then enter the collection as available options, thus cultivating the collection through the interaction between the initial designs and Interface’s customers.
