The new UU50 Wine Rack fits neatly into an earlier Munimula product, the UU47 Table: an anodized aluminum element runs down the table’s middle, and the wine rack slides neatly into the channels of that spine. Voila, storage underneath the table. In that vein, each place at the table is actually a tray for mobile dining; removing the tray reveals even more storage space for linens or office accessories.
Each UU50 comprises two halves, which cradle a wine bottle resting on its side. Channels run around the exterior so that, linked together, each $90 unit becomes a stackable module. They can also be arranged as a sturdy freestanding screen. “We haven’t had the time to stack them more than six feet high,” says designer Jennifer Burke. Munimula is based in Quincy, Michigan.
