The upholstery fabric is a rough and, in this case, vivid red weave. The pad has one dimpled line where it’s secured to the molded plywood beneath. It’s also anchored by Velcro so it’s easy to remove for cleaning and it won’t slip around while you recline.
While the upholstery is available in any fabric from the Molteni & C line, the wood comes in wenge, walnut, or cherry. The Sigma chaise lounge is the second piece Anne Wettstein has done for the company; she’s also the designer of last year’s best-selling introduction, the Alpha chair.
