Joe Doucet has made a chair, ottoman, and table by building structure around form, creating a line of furniture that is “defined more by what is not there than by what is,” according to Doucet.

Molded plywood faced with walnut forms the outline of a round-edged seat and ottoman whose white laminate interior brings the outline into view. An ovoid ceramic vase ornaments the center of the Nest table, ready to be filled with anything from pussy willows to rosemary.
