Epic Cleantec

OneWater™ Rain System

Cities are struggling to keep up water management practices with the combined challenges of aging infrastructure, growing urban populations, and a changing climate. Epic Cleantec is advancing a decentralized water model, challenging 250 years of conventional design by helping buildings create their own renewable onsite water supply.

Launched in November 2025, Epic Cleantec’s OneWater™ Rain system is an advanced, modular onsite water recycling solution that reduces buildings’ dependence on municipal supply and bolsters resilience. Recognized in METROPOLIS’ 2026 Sustainable Design Report, Epic’s system captures, treats, and reuses rainwater and HVAC condensate for a renewable water source for non-potable applications, including irrigation, toilet flushing, cooling towers, and laundry. The system integrates into new and existing buildings, providing a scalable and code-compliant solution across jurisdictions.

OneWater Rain combines advanced filtration and disinfection into a single platform and incorporates intelligent monitoring and automation, reducing costs for property owners. The system harvests water that would otherwise flow into city drains, helping mitigate urban flooding, conserve water, and reduce infrastructure costs.

OneWater Rain builds on Epic’s OneWater platform, a TIME Best Invention. Epic is deploying the OneWater Rain for multifamily, commercial, and mixed-used buildings in California and Texas, two regions facing acute water stress.
