Designing for Change At NeoCon and Design Days

Eames Pavilion System
Kettal
Drawing from Charles and Ray Eames’ residential experiments of the 40s and 50s, Kettal’s Eames Pavilion System translates their architectural intelligence into a modular workplace framework built for flexibility and interior adaptability. Conceived as a kit of parts—combining repeatable structures, interchangeable envelopes, and customizable components—the system treats architecture as an evolving platform.

Configure Your Own
Stackabl
Stackabl’s Configure Your Own turns waste into a design asset. Through a clear design language and material strategy, the company links acoustic performance with lighting. Working with Merino wool and PET offcuts from Sutherland Felt Company and FilzFelt, post-industrial stone from Eurasia, and recycled cork from Amorim, the studio creates modular products engineered for disassembly and recovery. Their supply-chain-driven model, which embraces material variability, offers a credible alternative to the waste-intensive logic of the furnishings industry.

Stephen Burks Man Made
Haworth
Among the pieces Stephen Burks Man Made presented at Haworth’s NeoCon space, the molded plywood Birth lounge chair stands out. Evolving from the Birth Rocking Chair Prototype unveiled at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale, the design refines its predecessor into a more resolved object. Its silhouette and structural clarity suggest the makings of a new contemporary classic. Equally compelling, the Dinámica lighting system uses pivoting aluminum elements to create multiple lighting conditions.

Hues
Turf
Turf has expanded its Hues palette with 10 new colors informed by neuroaesthetics and sensory design, bringing the collection to 42 total hues. From warm neutrals to saturated blues, greens, and oranges, the additions are designed to influence mood and shape the sensory experience of interior spaces. The colors are available across Turf’s acoustic solutions, which are made from 9mm PET felt containing 60 percent pre-consumer recycled content.

Hero Rubber
Mohawk Group
Hero Rubber made with Nike Grind transforms manufacturing scrap and end-of-life athletic footwear into high-performance resilient flooring. Available in three distinct visuals—Original, Vitality, and Axis—the collection offers 17 colorways ranging from refined speckled patterns to bold, sneaker-inspired textures. Combining durability, comfort, and visual impact, Hero Rubber supports wayfinding and branding while bringing circular material innovation to high-traffic environments.

Kiaura Collection
KI
Designed by Aaron DeJule and exclusively manufactured by KI, the Kiaura Collection is the first seating line to incorporate patented Cognetic Technology™. Developed through years of research into movement, balance, and the body-mind connection, the innovation uses gravity and continuous natural motion to support comfort and performance. The collection includes task, conference, and lounge seating, as well as complementary tables and ottomans.

SoftBrick
Stylex
SoftBrick, designed by Paolo Lucidi and Luca Pevere for Stylex, enters an increasingly crowded field of modular seating yet avoids the trap of treating flexibility as an end in itself. Built around configurable forms, dual seat heights, and a customizable powder-coated steel plinth, the system supports a wide range of layouts for workplace, hospitality, and public settings. It is upholstered in Stylex’s extensive textile offerings, including options with recycled content.

Wanderwood
Patcraft
Wanderwood brings a distinctive wood-inspired terrazzo visual to 24″ x 24″ LVT tiles. Fully recyclable and manufactured in the USA, the collection features ExoGuard+® technology for exceptional appearance retention and resistance to scratching and staining. As part of Patcraft’s In The Loop program, Wanderwood can be reclaimed and recycled through the re[TURN]® reclamation program.

Grid System
Lucca House
Lucca House’s Grid System succeeds by embracing the dynamic life of a generation of professionals who often move, whose sensitivity to waste encourages them to retain existing furniture. Manufactured in Massachusetts from prefinished maple plywood, the flat-pack collection is organized around one-foot modules and 28 standard configurations that can shift from bookshelf to credenza or desk organizer. Its appeal lies in its simplicity, in both design and business model, from affordability to reconfigurability.

BuzziTent
BuzziSpaces
Designed by Alain Gilles, BuzziTent Light transforms the ceiling into a source of comfort and performance. Made from molded recycled PET felt, the suspended system combines lighting, sound absorption, and modular flexibility in a single element. Its strongest contribution is its adaptability: modules can be clustered, spaced apart, illuminated, or left unlit while maintaining visual continuity. Designed for easy assembly, disassembly, and end-of-life recovery, BuzziTent offers a practical alternative to conventional acoustic ceilings.

Flexyskin
Bõln
Bõln’s Flexyskin® engages with sustainability through material innovation. Composed of roughly 90 percent plant waste—including corn starch, sugar cane bagasse, and wood cellulose—the proprietary polyurethane foam transforms underutilized biomass into durable, recyclable seating with waterproof, antibacterial, and fire-resistant properties, and is also very soft and comfortable. As the polyurethane foam market is projected to grow 6.9 percent annually through 2032, according to Fortune Business Insights, Flexyskin offers a compelling alternative.

Kimball International
