REVERSE
Patcraft offers several carbon-neutral collections (90 percent of its products are Cradle to Cradle Certified). But Reverse is the first to achieve C2C Gold. Here’s why it deserves that designation.
01 C2C GOLD
The Products Innovation Institute’s C2C Gold level indicates that in addition to Silver level requirements, a product has achieved a materials-reuse score greater than or equal to 65, draws 50 percent of the electricity used to make it from a renewable energy source, and is linked to offsets for 50 percent of on-site emissions from operations.
02 RECYCLABLE
Every tile bears an 800 number, and calling it activates the company’s guarantee to pick up and reuse the carpeting at zero cost to the user.
03 WATER-CONSERVING
Since 2010, the company has reduced its water use in operations by 42 percent.
04 RECYCLED
Reverse is Patcraft’s first collection made from 100 percent recycled yarn sourced with postindustrial content in its special EcoSolutionQ100 fiber.
05 PVC-FREE BACKING
For 20 years EcoWorx, the manufacturer’s tile backing, has been PVC-free, and it’s the first of its kind to be C2C-Certified.
06 CARBON-NEUTRAL PRODUCTION
Solar arrays on the company’s Cartersville, Georgia, facility generate renewable energy, which has cut operational emissions in half since 2010.
07 MINDFUL MATERIALS
In addition to the transparency guaranteed by C2C assessments, Reverse is searchable in the mindful MATERIALS library, where a full suite of product declarations can be viewed.
