Esoterica is back, and with it the archetypes of so-called sacred geometry. Take the circle, the building block of nature-born patterns like the flower of life, which proliferated in Roman, Islamic, and Gothic designs before a New Age revival. Lately one can’t help but notice the ubiquity of the arc, a segment of the circle’s circumference, which lends these pieces an indisputable sense of balance.
