Hospitality designer D.B. Kim is “constantly distracted by trends,” he says. “The only way to insulate my ideas is to focus on a current mood, not a fad.” Here he selects colors, textures, and forms that inspire timeless comfort and peace.
An architect by training, Kim has worked as a director of Gensler’s Asia hospitality practice, vice president of Beijing-based Wanda Hotel Design and Research Institute, and vice president of design for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
