Wasn’t it about three years that lighting sconces were “the next big thing?” And isn’t it true that interior design fashions run in roughly three-year cycles? So aren’t sconces the last thing we should be seeing at Ilex’s ICFF booth?
Well, fashion is fickle and it turns out there is always room for a few sconces in a company’s line. I’m a fan of Christopher Poehlmann’s eponymously named sconce, with its brushed finish and trim Art Deco lines. It’s one of the few sconces that’s ADA-compliant. Most others jut out too far into a room.
