How many pairs of shoes/glasses do you own?
Two pairs of glasses and thirty pairs of shoes.
Think of something else that ICFF can stand for.
I Can’t Feel My Feet.
If you could build a piece of furniture out of any material in the world, what would it be?
Wood. I’m just old-fashioned. Walnut.
What is the desktop picture on your computer?
My chair, with my four-year-old sitting on it.
Do you sketch with a particular kind of pen or notebook?
I use a Staedtler felt pen. A moleskine.
When did you know you wanted to be a designer?
My mother was a craftsperson, so she did woodwork. And I always was building my own toys, that sort of thing.
What’s the favorite thing you’ve seen here so far?
I like Lindsay Adelman’s glass chandelier, down the aisle.
If you weren’t a designer, what would you be?
Organic farmer. Or just a farmer.
What is your least favorite color?
Puce, purple.
Do you have a hero?
Guy LaFleur. Because I’m Canadian.
