Clean and Seamless
Kitchen and bath manufacturers went smart, minimal, and high-tech at ICFF this year.
Last May’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), in New York, had one of its strongest showings in years, with 550 exhibitors and 25,422 attendees—a 9 percent increase over 2010. The enthusiastic presence of kitchen and bath manufacturers was also evident, with power brands such as Duravit, Dornbracht, and Axor all participating in the show. “ICFF is an interesting show for us to be at,” says Tim Schroeder, the president of Duravit USA. “It seems to be getting more professional in terms of the way materials are presented, and the scale of the presentations, not from just core brands but from all the participants, is getting a lot better, which is very encouraging.” Stripped-back minimalism combined with high-tech industrial design was the prevalent trend emerging from these companies. Here’s a selection of the best new kitchen and bath products from the fair that should seamlessly integrate into any home.
