Design Entrepreneurs: Rethinking Energy
This year’s Metropolis Conference focuses on the timely topic of energy. Designers, manufactures, and developers discuss processes, materials, and strategies for acting locally in our global world. Plus don’t miss the inspiring presentation by this year’s Metropolis Next Generation® Design Competition winners! The annual, full-day (10:00 a.m – 5:00 p.m.) conference is free, open to all ICFF attendees.

Bruce Fowle, principal of FXFowle, discusses making the Javits Center energy efficient and in-tune with 21st-century needs a project done and his collaboration with London’s Richard Rogers.

Carlie Bullock-Jones, LEED specialist with TVS Interiors in Atlanta, shares her experience with encouraging clients to go green by providing cost effective, energy efficient solutions.

Project architect Ralph Walker and his team at Gensler discuss the recent completion of the St. Phillips Academy in Newark— a reuse of a 1920s factory building—and the process of making it LEED Silver 2.1.
