“Now, I’m basically taking the lamps and flattening them out,” says Dieter of the wall screens he launched this April from birch and aspen veneer and fire-retardant polycarbonate. The screens—decorated with punch patterns in the shape of scales, stars, arabesques, puccis, pinwheels, and flakes—can be manufactured in a variety of materials.
