Those who are “changing the game” with regards to design and practice in 2012 are a highly diverse group, but they share an important trait: their community-based work has broader implications for the world at large, demonstrating the power of design to forge real change. They challenge traditional views of architecture practice and theory, discussing holistic projects, water conservation, education, and our notions of space while addressing environmental, social, and theoretical aspects of sustainable architectural design and practice.
