StudiosC Fills a Brooklyn Law Office with a Rich Stone, Metal, and Wood Palette
The design features a restored timber-frame ceiling and custom furniture that creates a refreshing dialogue between past and present.
For its latest reuse project, Brooklyn-based architecture firm StudiosC transformed a neglected loft in the Williamsburg neighborhood into a workspace for a boutique law firm. The 3,000-square-foot office is awash in natural light and features a restored timber-frame ceiling and custom furniture that creates a refreshing dialogue between past and present. A concrete-and-steel addition with a roof deck serves as a gathering place for employees and visitors, and connects with the main office via a central corridor. “Office design has to transcend just workstations and start to build a sense of comfort and community,” says StudiosC principal Stephen Conte.
